Eivwa “ Ivwananji Mathew Simukonda” is a Zambian music artist, producer and song writer who creates thought provoking art.
Born in Chisamba, Zambia on October 24th, 1995, Jumpyo is the son of Mwanagala and Isaac Simukonda, a former Zesco Lusaka branch manager. His father is a native of Copperbelt province and his mother is a Lozi from the western province. Jumpyo’s interest in performing began after he finished his high school education at kafue boys secondary school in 2014. For years spent learning how to produce music on his own through watching videos on youtube from famous online producers like busyworks beats and Mr different, he gained an appreciation and understanding for music that would later influence the sound he would create in his music we hear today.
He single handedly produced his first mix tape “HEARTBREAKS” in 2016 over a laptop mic and some headphones in bedroom. Jumpyo’s Rap and singing style has been inspired by Kanye West, Drake, Slap Dee and Chef 187. Later in 2017 drpped 3 mix tapes namely”RIGHT HERE, FEEL and SAVE ME” in a single year. Jumpyo collaborated with friend and Hip-Hop Rapper IROSE on “FEEL” the mix tape.
Drake in not only a music artist and also a business entrepreneur and author of the “HOW TO MARKET YOUR MUSIC ON FACEBOOK.” Jumpyo started and built his music career on nothing but a laptop and is one of the best upcoming artist in the Zambian music industry, his story has inspired may on the youth is his country now that it is possible to achieve your dream even on the list equipment or being from a third world country.
